Intercultural Audiovisual Workshops

We wanted to organize workshops for secondary school pupils and students (between 16-20 years). A guest speaker (historian) from a partner country visited a school in another partner country and delivered lectures about the communist history of his own country. After the lectures the school groups had to create 5 new short videos where they compare specific topics in the communist past and nowadays. Length of the videos: around 5 minutes. There was no required technical form of the videos (mobile phones, video camcorders DSLR, etc). One workshop last around 2 weeks in each country and the local teachers will assist the students. The videos are uploaded to the PARC surface (with ENG subtitles).

Topics of the comparative students videos (in the past communist regimes and in the EU nowadays):
- political systems (voting, leaderships, etc)
- free movement of citizens (travels, work possibilities in abroad, etc)
- shopping habits and availability of goods and services
- social life and entertainment
- repression against individual freedom

Target groups: pupils, students, youth, teachers.
